Our
home
Savour a bit of old Toronto history at The Mulberry Tree. Built in 1901, it was home to Samuel Wickett, a prominent Torontonian who owned a tannery on Front Street. The Wicketts kept their horse in the beautiful old coach
house across the road, still in existence and now part of Casey House. Guests marvel at the magnificent curved ceilings, the fine oak floors and the glowing wood trim ... all original. The grand old homes
in the area remind us that at the turn of the last century, Upper Jarvis” was the place to live.
Our Location
We really are downtown! Just two blocks east of Yonge and one block south of Bloor. It’s less than a 15 minute walk to Yorkville, the Royal Ontario Museum, Bloor Street shopping (considered the
best), a myriad of good restaurants
U. of T. and more. The subway
is just 4 minutes from our door but most guests prefer to walk.
Our Services
Guests may help themselves to a selection of teas, and coffee available in the guest lounge any time of the day
and, of course, the cookie tin is always full. There’s a small refrigerator in
the lounge for guests use as well as an iron and an ironing pad. A guest telephone and data port are on a desk outside the lounge and guests may have a phone in their room for a small charge per day. All bathrooms are equipped with hairdryers, soaps, shampoos and body lotions.
